The women’s ministry at Roots Community Church exists to celebrate the glory of God so that our community “may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth” of the love of Christ. Ephesians 3:18
Through intentional fellowship, Bible study, discipleship, and prayer, the ministry petitions the Holy Spirit to create a fellowship of women who are “filled with all the fullness of God” and serve the kingdom of God in our spheres of influence. As Titus 2 articulates, we aim to create intergenerational ministry that promotes application of Gospel truths into our daily lives as well as mutual edification and accountability. Being secure in our identity in Christ, we aim for the women of Roots to grow in confidence in the discovery and exercise of their spiritual gifts. By no means is this meant to be isolated growth for a specific demographic; instead, the women’s ministry exists for the health of the Body and the glory of Christ.
Currently, this mission is sought after in the following ways:
• Monthly dinner with fellowship and discussions regarding the application of Scripture to concerns of daily life.
• An annual women’s retreat.
• Informal, spontaneous community and discipleship.
